Conditions for Acceptance at Our Facility
If you have a healthy, gentle horse, or other farm animal that needs a great home,
contact us today!
EXTREME horses (wild, untrained, unrideable) will not fit in with our program. All
our horses are companion animals.
For acceptance at our facility, horses need to be gentle, social, broke to ride,
and in good medical and physical condition. We are not a horse rescue and we
do not have the funding or volunteer staff to take on advanced medical treatment
of any new horses we accept here. Many of our horses are able to lead useful and
productive lives helping children in our companion progam, the Eastern North Carolina
Therapeutic Riding Center .
All horses must have a current negative Coggins and documentation of current
vaccinations prior to acceptance at our facility, no exceptions.
We ask all owners to provide medical records for each of our horses
in case there is ever an emergency and a medical history is needed. Personal
information is strictly confidential.
If you are unable to care for your horse, find you no longer have room for your
horse, or you would like to donate your horse, please contact us today.
